Other foods beneficial to colon detox are citrus fruits like lemons. Lemons help remove mucous from the body. Garlic is also great for the colon and the immune system. Try to buy organic foods whenever you can. They have no pesticides which contribute to toxins in the body.
    Green tea and water are important beverages to consume while detoxing the colon to help the body from getting dehydrated. The green tea also contains antioxidants beneficial to detox. Consuming alkaline-producing foods will ensure proper nutrition for the body.
