I cannot go to the bathroom regularly and I have been to a doctor but they only suggest taking laxatives. Both doctors I have been to said same thing, am I losing hope because I am constantly feeling sick after not being able to go to up to 1 to 2 weeks at a time. I have tried fiber, vitamin supplements, probiotics, magnesium, healthy diets, i drink a lot of water, plus many more experiments including colon cleanse pills. Nothing seems to be helping and my doctors tell me because it is a problem with the function of my bowel muscles, there is nothing to be done about it.

If you are taking all of the measures that you have said you are and your still having a hard time then there is something wrong. You could have a blockage and it could become very serious. I would suggest going to another physician and tell them EXACTLY what is going on. Don’t be shy and not tell them everything because giving all of the information may just be the deciding factor on how to help you! Good Luck !

cognitive therapy may help. Simply tell your body to STOP! hurting you this way. There is nothing wrong with the movement of your muscles, your body runs smoothly and efficiently. Tell yourself several times a day. Your subconscious will listen. This works for many aliments as well. in the mean time Try eating lots of fruit/veggies in conjunction with 12 fiber pills and bran cereal. Larch AG may help also. Colon cleanses/laxatives mess you up more than do you good. I have been where you are now and through trial and error I have found what works for me.

I would suggest going to a nutritionist. I had the opposite problem (going 24/7!). And the nutritionist really helped me know which foods and supplements would balance me out. Good luck!

foods with oxalic acids will stimulate peristalsis (the movement of intenstinal muscles). these foods must be enjoyed raw, however, to get the best effect. when oxalic acids are cooked, they have the reverse effect and can be carcinogous.
keep well hydrated ( a big one)
squat and feel for muscles in stomach relaxing
(yes, relaxing muscles will get them to work properly)
jump on a trampoline.

An extremely simple test. Caffeine is a stimulant, especially for removing wastes, as it stimulates the digestive track or intestines. A bit of coke or coffee (I hate coffee, so dont know whether it works well) in the morning, and it may help within just a little while.
But it does sound as if there is something much worse than what a simple can of coke can accomplish.
It is extremely wrong to have waste inside of you that long. The body is meant to have waste only for a few days. Any longer and it begins to go bad (even worse that it originally is!!) and create bad toxins and damage. I’m very surprised you haven’t had more serious complications.
I would suggest you seek out a good holistic or natural therapy doctor. Go to local health food store and seek info on someone they might recommend. Such doctors consider a person’s ailment in more perspectives other than just physical, and can work with other therapies, other than a handful of pills, laxatives or surgery.
I had a friend who had a serious problem as a young man. He’d feel great for few weeks, then suddenly get sick, vomit, diahrea, for few weeks, get better, and go thru whole process all over again. For years it afflicted him. He’d been to tons of different docs, too, and he was told mostly it was in his head.
Finally, he found a doctor who seriously listened, and during exploratory surgery, they found that his body has grown a new tiny segment of intestine, which branched off the original one. It was only about size of a thumb, but it would act exactly like a whole one, once food would get into it, it would move to push it on thru, but since it was closed just couple inches later, the food wouldn’t go anywhere, and then would get bad, and that’s when he’d get sick, because the body was trying to rid it self of the food that was stuck and getting bad. So he finally was able to have it surgically removed, and is much, much better today.
My point of that story is not to suggest you have bodily deformities causing your problems. It is to say that there are doctors out there who will honestly seek to help you. Keep looking to find one who will indeed listen to you.
Unfortunately, the present diagnoses may be true, it may be a problem with the muscles and might not be anything that can be done. You’ll just have to keep searching. But my prayers are with you and your troubles. Good luck.

Try pineapple. In the core it contains the enzyme bromelaise which helps the digestive system.
Also try chlorophyll wich is also very good for the digestive system.
Yahoo searches for pineapple + digestion (OR digestive) and chlorophyll + digestion (OR digestive) will tell you much more.

Constipation means difficult or infrequent passage of the stool. In some cases it is due to mechanical obstruction of the intestines, such as cancer, diverticulitis, or perhaps due to some functional cause, such as an irritable colon. In most cases there is no actual obstruction. Regular bowel movement is necessary to remove waste and toxins from the body. Some people will have movements every day, some others 3 times a week, this is normal, whereas some doctors believe that a person moving bowels less then once a day to be constipated.

If everything fails, try a colon cleanse using enemas. There are a lot of readymade enemas available OTC. This is necessary to lubricate and induce a healthy peristalsis in your large intestines. It is possible that you may pass hard to very hard stools initially and it will be painful and difficult. But after 2-3 enemas, you should be fine.
PROLONGED USE OF ENEMAS IS BAD FOR THE COLON.
You will have to maintain a fiber rich diet to avoid further constipation.
