    Yes, your body can become dependent on laxatives and they can cause severe or permanent damage to your colon and the rest of your digestive system.

    yes! if you need a little “help” just do it until you are regular, do not continue taking laxatives on a regular basis, unless your MD tells you to. your bowel will be lazy and let the laxatives do all the work.
